Software Update: Inkscape 0.91

Spread the love

Version 0.91 of Inkscape released. This open source and cross platform program is for editing vector graphics† It shares similarities with programs like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Freehand and Xara X, but the big difference is that Inkscape works with Scalable Vector Graphics, an open standard developed by the W3C. The implementation of SVG is, however, incomplete. The main change in version 0.91 is the switch to Cairo, an open source and cross platform rendering engine. More information about this release can be found in the announcement are being found..
