Software update: HitmanPro 3.7.9 build 211 beta

SurfRight has released a new beta release of HitmanPro with version number 3.7.9. HitmanPro can remove viruses, spyware, Trojan horses, rootkits and other forms of malware. By smart scanning and using cloud computing, the software performs a complete scan in often no more than a few minutes. To remove infections, the program must be activated. The first time a free key can be requested, but after thirty days a new key must be purchased. The changelog for this release looks like this:

  • Scanning of Start Menu items on Vista, Windows 7 and 8

  • Internet Explorer start page and search engine to remnant scan

  • Repair for disabled Command Prompt

Fixed:

  • Tab handling in trial request dialog
  • Problem parsing AppInit_DLLs registry value
  • Crash when the scan stumbles on a specific crafted file
