Software update: Hitman Pro 3.5 build 65

SurfRight released a new version of Hitman Pro 3.5 on Monday. Hitman Pro is an all-in-one solution against viruses, spyware, Trojans, rootkits and other malware. In version 2.0, the program still used twelve different antispyware and antivirus programs, which were called and run independently. From version 3.0, however, only self-developed software and ‘cloud computing’ are used, which scan the computer in a smart way. As a result, a scan of a complete computer only takes a few minutes.

Hitman Pro is no longer completely free. Scanning costs nothing, but in order to remove infections, the program will need to be activated. The first time a free key can be requested. This can be used for thirty days, but after that the wallet will have to be pulled. In version 3.5 the program has been rewritten to prevent false positives in anti-virus programs. • Improved intelligent cleanup of registry, file and folder references.
• Improved detection and removal of fake/rogue anti-malwares (scareware).
• Improved Scan Cloud scanning capacity.
• Added more rules to Early Warning Scoring (EWS) to help experienced users with zero-day malware.
• Updated the internal whitelist.
• Added Italian language texts to the user interface.
• Updated the user interface with a red banner when malicious software is detected.

Changes in version 3.5 build 59:

• Fine-tuned timeouts concerning Scan Cloud (fixes “Upload failed”).
