Software Update: Hitman Pro 2.3.3

A new version of the anti-spyware program has appeared on the Hitman Pro site, namely version 2.3.3. The new version is out here as an installation file. After Hitman Pro has been installed and the desired settings have been made, the software retrieves various anti-spyware programs from the Internet and runs them independently. Programs such as Ad-Aware, Spy Sweeper, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, CWShredder and Trend Micro Sysclean are automatically installed on the system and provided with the latest anti-spyware definitions via the automatic update. In addition, the Hitman Pro AntiSpyware developed by Mark Loman itself is also released on the system. After the programs have checked the computer for viruses and spy, ad and malware, a report is generated with the junk found and removed. In Hitman Pro 2.3.3, a number of changes have been made, including a patch that closes the WMF vulnerability in Windows. New in Hitman Pro 2.3.3

• Added Hotfix concerning the WMF vulnerability. The hotfix was created by Ilfak Guilfanov. Untill Hitman detects an official patch from Microsoft, this hotfix is ​​automatically installed. To undo this fix simply uncheck the corresponding checkbox on the Protection tab (Hitman Pro Configuration).
• Added support for SpywareBlaster 3.5. Users running a previous version of SpywareBlaster are automatically updated.
• Added detection or AntiSpam software. When AntiSpam is installed, SurfRight cannot be enabled for Outlook Express.
• Improved SurfRight Helper. Windows is now resizable and the ListView supports drag-and-drop reordering of columns. Also, download associated icons are displayed.
• Added a lot of extra detection and removal of common spyware threats to Hitman Pro AntiSpyware.

New in Hitman Pro 2.3.2

• Improved scanning with NOD32. It will now also scan My documents when its location is not default – altered by the user. (ex. C:\Documents and Settings\Mark\My documents” to “D:\My documents”)
• Fixed error while choosing alternative path for external tools.
• Fixed Spy Sweeper sweeping. It was previously allow to scan only for 20 minutes. This has been set to max. 1 hour.
• Fixed automatic installation of Spyware Doctor on German Windows.
• Improved download updates. After fresh installation of Hitman Pro, up-to-date files are no longer downloaded from the internet.
• Added detection and removal of new spyware to Hitman Pro AntiSpyware: SpyAxe, SpyTrooper, SpyGuard, ErrorSafe, PSGuard (new variant)
• Updated uninstaller so no files remains when removing Hitman Pro.
• Improved compatibility with WindowBlinds (background color of listview).
• Added automatic detection of proxy server.
• Added details when downloading files from internet (like speed and size).
• Added Spyware Doctor 3.2.2 (users installing Hitman Pro for the first time will get this new version).
• Improved “Spybot – Search & Destroy” update. This is now done during the download phase. At the start, all other programs are sequentially (installed or) updated.
• Added automatic randomizing of update server for Spybot Search & Destroy.
