Software Update: Hitchhiker 0.4 beta 1

Hitchhiker version 0.4 beta 1 has just been released. Developed by the Kasuei Consultant Group of Hong Kong, this Pocket PC program is designed to make connecting to a public WiFi hotspot very easy. For example, all settings are filled in automatically and some tests are also performed to establish the best possible connection. The program uses the .NET Compact Framework 2.0, which may be from here can be downloaded. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• Support devices running Windows Mobile 5
• Support VGA device and Landscape orientation
• When connected, notify user with notification balloon
• Performance improved by loading network history in background
