Software Update: Gnome Partition Editor 0.5.1

The Gnome Partition Editor has recently been updated to version 0.5.1. With GParted it is possible to partition a hard drive and change existing partitions, for example by changing the file system or resizing. The program isn’t very big, but it usually comes in the form of a live CD, so it can be used on just about any computer. In version 0.5.1, a number of important bug fixes have been made. For example, the problems with resizing partitions in combination with newer kernels have been solved, as well as crashes on devices where the sectors are larger than 512 bytes.   • Ensure return code is passed up through commit() method
  • Avoid crash by ignoring devices with sector size > 512 bytes (#595309) – Thanks to Jan Claeys for initial small patch
