Software update: FreeKiSS 0.2

Spread the love

Mayco was kind enough to deposit his own creation in the junk queue. It is a program called FreeKiSS and is intended to play video files stored on the computer on a network-supported KiSS DivX player, such as the DP-50x and DP-150x models. The program is released as open source, which means that both the program as the source code are available. Our own GoT has a topic about KiSS where this program is also discussed. Version 0.2 has just been released and has the following changes:

Now, what has changed in this version:

  • Removed Info Tab
  • Added a check for version updates
  • Added support for playlists (.m3u and .pls)
  • Fixed bug that folders were not sent in the way they are ordered when merge is disabled
  • Fixed some multiplayer bugs (should work now, but we need feedback from testers)
  • Fixed bug where the settings weren’t saved when shutting down the computer.[break]
