Software update: Foxit Reader 9.0.1

Spread the love

Foxit Software has released an update for version 9.0 of Foxit Reader. This alternative to Adobe Reader works great with most PDF documents, but complex or very large documents can sometimes be a little too much of a challenge. However, it is a godsend for computers with limited resources. Nowadays, documents can also be stored online in Foxit Cloud. In version 9.0.1, the following changes and improvements have been made:

New Features

  • Online ink signature
  • Uploads created ink signatures to Foxit ConnectedPDF Web Services, or downloads ink signatures from the Foxit ConnectedPDF Web Services to sign PDFs across devices.
  • OneNote integration
  • Enables users to send PDF documents to OneNote quickly within Foxit Reader.
  • Protected View
  • Provides options to open files originating from the Internet or other potentially unsafe locations in Protected View to protect users’ systems from threats.

Improvements

  • Accessibility improvements
  • Detects assistive technology installed on the user’s computer and responds to users with prompts for more accessible reading settings, and supports reading on non-standard Windows dialogs for better experiences for vision-impaired users.
  • Some other user-friendly enhancements.

Issues Addressed

  • Fixed some stability issues.
