Software update: Foxit Reader 4.0.0 build 0619

Foxit Software has released version 4.0 of Foxit Reader. This program is an alternative to Adobe Reader. It can handle most PDF documents very well, but complex or very large documents can sometimes be a little too much of a challenge. However, it is a godsend for computers with limited resources. New in version 4.0 is, among other things, that the extra functionality that could previously be added through the paid pro package is now part of the program itself. This makes it possible, for example, to add comments in a PDF document and then save it.

New features:

• Added an advanced set of professional features
  The New Reader 4.0 now includes Comments tools, Text Viewer & Text Converter, Form Filler, Spell Checker and Advanced Editing Tools; and it’s still free. No additional licensing is required for more features with PDFs.
• Enhanced Safe Mode Setting
  Supports Safe Mode settings during installation, streamlining the workflow and offering better protection with PDF File.
• Bug Fixes:
  Fixed the crash issue when opening certain PDF documents.
