Software update: ffdshow 2004-08-06 alpha

The DirectShow filter ffdshow can play DivX, XviD, WMV, MPEG1, and MPEG2 files. The program uses the libav codec from the ffmpeg project for video decompression, mplayer’s postprocessing code for improved visual quality of low bitrate files, and is based on XviD’s original DirectShow filter. A new official alpha version has recently been released, which has been given the version designation 2004-08-06. The release notes look like this:

This time compiled with VC 6 and GCC 3.4.1. I’m about to commit quite experimental feature (audio switcher) and wanted to create a new build before doing so.
