Software Update: Emsisoft Anti-Malware 8.1.0.33

Emsisoft has released version 8.1.0.33 of Anti-Malware. The name of this program doesn’t quite cover it, because it not only offers protection against malware, it is also a full-fledged antivirus product. That also explains the heavy download of 209MB. A license for Anti-Malware costs 40 euros and for a tenner more you get the firewall Online Armor. Below are the major improvements made in this release.

• Fixed an issue with repeated downloads of specific updates.

• Fixed a bug that prevented resetting of certain registry value names under HKU.
• Surf Protection hosts list loading bug fixed.
• Incorrectly alerted hosts for disabled categories fixed.
• Crash on quarantine rescan after online update fixed.
