Software Update: DVD Identifier 4.0

DVD Identifier can display specific information of a writable DVD. For example, the program shows the manufacturer of the disc and the speeds at which the disc can be burned. Yesterday version 4.0 was released on the DVD Identifier website. The update is on this location parked and as a zip package weighs approximately 1008 kilobytes. The sudden increase from version number 3.6.3.1 to 4.0 is most likely related to the Blu-ray disc support and the elimination of a large number of bugs, improvements and cosmetic changes to the user interface. In the future, DVD Identifier will also be able to display data from HD DVD discs. For the time being, we still have to make do with the 4.0 version. Below are the changes of this release:

• Added support for 8x dvd+rw and dvd+rw dl (double layer).
• Both functional and cosmetic improvements to the user interface.
