Software Update: DivX Player Radium sneak preview

The folks at DivX are busy developing a new DivX Player and have therefore released a sneak preview of DivX Player Radium. Among other things, support for burning DivX videos for DivX certified devices has been added. During the installation you can indicate that the supplied Google Toolbar does not need to be installed. The following announcement is made:

The DivX team is proud to introduce a brand-spankin new update that brings a whole new spectrum of functionality to the venerable DivX Player. New in this release:

  • Integrated burning — now no bouncing from app to app to burn your favorite DivX videos for viewing on DivX Certified devices.
  • Media Management — now you can manage your video collection directly within the player interface. Create collections of related content to keep things organized.
  • Download Management — the player now supports multiple http downloads and automatically adds downloaded videos to your library. Pause, resume, prioritize, and even progressively playback your downloads.
