Software update: DirectX 9.0b

There is currently a lot of news going around about Microsoft DirectX 9.0b redistributable on many internet sites. This is included in the recently released DirectX 9.0 SDK but has been removed by a number of people and offered as a separate download. The following is reported to us:

A new build of DirectX 9.0b has apparently leaked, carrying a build number of 4.09.0000.0902. This release is the redistributable for Windows 98/ME/2K/XP/2003. This release includes the all of the DirectX 9.0b Developer runtime enhancements.
