Software Update: CrystalDiskInfo 8.17.0

Crystal Dew World has released a new version of CrystalDiskInfo. This program, which is under the MIT License is released provides comprehensive information about the drives in the computer. There is support for traditional hard drives, but also for SSDs and to a lesser extent for external USB and Firewire drives. In addition to displaying smartinformation, it is possible to aam– and apmsettings, if the hardware supports it. The collected information can be displayed in clear graphs. In addition to the standard version, there are also the Shizuku and Kurei Kei versions. These offer no extra features, but contain an anime theme. Since version 8.16.0, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 8.17.0:

  • Improved SanDisk SATA SSD support
  • Improved Micron SATA SSD support
  • Improved Intel RST support on Windows 11 22H2 Insider Preview

Changes in version 8.16.4:

  • Added the ability to attempt to send mail the old way if the new send mail feature does not work.
  • Fixed a bug that settings could not be saved if the model name/serial number contained “=”.
  • Updated language file (Traditional Chinese)

Changes in version 8.16.3

  • Fixed a bug that prevented multiple email addresses from being set in the email notification function.
  • Fixed KINGSTON SA400S37 support
  • Note: version 8.16.2 got discontinued due to remaining test code, sorry for the inconvenience.
