Software Update: CoreELEC 9.2.8

Spread the love

The developers behind Core Embedded Linux Entertainment Center recently released version 9.2.8. It is still based on the 9.2 code, which will receive support until the end of this year. It is therefore recommended to switch to CoreELEC 19.0-Matrix. CoreELEC is a fork of LibreELEC, which in turn arose after a large number of developers left OpenELEC due to disagreements and started their own business. These Linux distributions are based on Kodi and can turn a computer into a full-fledged htpc. CoreELEC focuses specifically on the chips of amlogic. The changelog for this release looks like this:

CoreELEC 9.2.8

CoreELEC 9.2.8 is now available. As Team CoreELEC announced End of Life for CoreELEC 9 (Leia), CoreELEC developers try focusing on fixing the most common issues reported with the CoreELEC 9.2.7 release.

  • Added support for Widevine CDM 4.10.2252.0
