Software update: Core Temp 1.18

Version 1.18 of Core Temp has been released. This small, free program can identify and monitor the computer’s processor. For example, Core Temp shows the temperature and operating pressure of the individual cores. On this page a list of all supported processors can be found. The collected information is written into a log, so that it can later be put in a graph, for example in Excel. It is also possible to control the processor via an Android or Windows Phone app keep an eye on. The following changes and improvements have been made in version 1.18:

New:

  • AMD Zen 4, Zen 3 APU and Zen 2 APU support
  • Intel Raptor Lake and Alder Lake support
  • TDP, TjMax, multiplier range detection on desktop AMD Zen platforms

Fixed:

  • Address the kernel-mode driver vulnerability/exploitation issues
  • Redesign Bclk detection on all AMD platforms starting from the Phenom series
  • Workaround the Bclk detection issues on Intel Skylake and newer series
  • Bclk detection on older Intel platforms, utilizing x2Apic configuration
  • Thread count on Intel hybrid architectures (Raptor/Alder Lake)
  • Improve support for multiple older AMD and Intel processors
  • Base multiplier detection on AMD Zen processors
  • Incorrect temperature on AMD Zen processors (missing -49C offset)
  • Engineering Sample recognition on newer Intel processors
  • Multiple minor bugs

Change:

  • Windows Vista 64-bit is no longer supported.
