Software Update: Comodo Internet Security 6.3.294583.2937

Comodo has released an update of Internet Security 2013 with version 6.3. This program comes with both a firewall and virus protection and it is possible to install one, the other or both. Internet Security is available for Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and 8, and has separate downloads for 32bit and 64bit editions of these operating systems. Comodo Internet Security is free to use, but there are also a plus-, pro– and complete version, which offers more options.

In version 2013 we see, among other things, a completely new user interface, which has been designed with touchscreens in mind. Also new is the Virtual Kiosk, a virtual environment that is shielded from the system to run the web browser, applications and apps, for example for banking. This update includes a new browser plugin that should improve privacy, the program is now suitable for Windows 8.1 and various bug fixes have been implemented.

• Chrome and Dragon v28 and later do not work in kiosk/sandbox
• Malware bypasses HIPS and Sandbox while creating autorun entries

• Copy/Paste now works while entering licenses in the license management window
