Caliber is an e-book management program and can handle almost all types of e-books and e-readers. It makes it possible, among other things, to convert e-books between the various formats in order to make e-books available on all platforms. In addition, it can also convert news articles based on RSS to e-book format and in this way make news available on e-readers. Caliber is being developed intensively and a new version is released every week. Version 0.7.57 was released on Friday, because version 0.7.55 was succeeded by 0.7.56 last week due to some problems.

  • Launch worker processes on demand instead of keeping a pool of them in memory. Reduces memory footprint.
  • Use the visual formatting of the Table of Contents to try to automatically create a multi-level TOC when converting/viewing MOBI files.

  • Add support for using metadata plugboards with the content server (only with the epub format)

New Features

  • This is primarily a bug fix release that fixes a bug in 0.7.55 that caused caliber to rescan the files on the device every time the device is connected. If you updated to 0.7.55 it is highly recommended you update to 0.7.56
