Software Update: BurnAware 6.5

Version 6.5 of the CD, DVD and Blu-ray burning program BurnAware has been released. This program is available in a Free version and in paid Premium and Professional editions, with prices of 30 and 40 dollars respectively. These versions have additional functionality, such as copying discs and ripping audio CDs. On this page the different editions are compared against each other. Since version 6.3, the following changes and improvements have been made:

BurnAware 6.5

New Features:

  • Added Blu-ray XL support.
  • Added feature to store CD-Text in CUE image.
  • Added support of new disc image formats: BIN, NRG, IMG, DMG.
  • Added support of RAW mode for disc image recording.
  • Added new method of verification.

Improvements:

  • Updated burning engine.
  • Optimized file extraction and sorting function.
  • Modified method or setting file priority.

Fixes:

  • Resolved the problem slow disc reading while copying.
  • Resolved the problem with recording on lower speed than selected.
  • Fixed the bug with free space detection of closed discs.

BurnAware 6.4

New Features:

  • Added Turkish translation.
  • Added button to copy track list of Audio CD compilation to the clipboard.
  • Added prefix and suffix options for disc label.
  • Added feature to edit format of date and time for disc label.

Improvements:

  • Translations have been updated.
  • Help file has been updated.
  • Minor user interface improvements.

Fixes:

  • Fixed the bug with displaying hidden files in File Browser.
  • Fixed the bug with selecting all files in File Browser.
