Version 2.53 of BS.Player was released on Monday. BS.Player is a multimedia player that can play various audio and video formats. The program is available in two different versions, namely Free and Pro. Previously there was also a Pro Lite version, but it doesn’t seem to exist anymore. The Pro version costs thirty euros and can of course more, such as recording video and streaming video in higher quality, and has a comprehensive equalizer.
BS.Player was one of the most popular media players for a long time, but after the freeware version came with adware, it quickly came to an end. As of version 2.30, the SaveNow adware module has been replaced by a optional toolbar, which, in addition to a search function, can also control the player. This release includes new sorting capabilities, some improvements to the subtitles, and several bug fixes. Below are all the changes from this release:
- Added option to sort files after they are added (for ‘Always add all files in current directory to playlist’ option)
- Changed VobSub loading rules, only files with same name as movie file will now be loaded
- Fixed YouTube playback
- Subtitle editor fixes
