Software update: Avant Browser 2012 build 18

Version 2012 of Avant Browser has been released. This web browser does not stand alone, but uses the Trident engine from Internet Explorer and adds extra functionality to it, including autofilling forms and saving your profile online, so you can access your bookmarks, RSS feeds and settings. Avant Browser can use the Tridentengine from Internet Explorer and from version 2012 can also be used from the geckoengine from Firefox 8. the changelog of this release looks like this:

• An option:Avant Browser Options->Profile->Days to Keep History.

Fixed:

• Gecko: Auto-Scroll button didn’t work.
• Gecko:Work Offline didn’t work
• Gecko:Searching Non-English words via Address Bar failed.
• Gecko:A bug on the Restart link for disabling/enabling firefox extensions.
• Gecko:Redundant icon appeared on the windows task bar when “Save Selected Region as Image”
• Gecko:Applying Ctrl+ middle mouse button to change the page size wasn’t fluent.
• Gecko:Disabling “Enable mouse super drag and drop to open new tab” didn’t work.
• Gecko: A problem which could cause flash plugin to crash.
• Gecko: Sometimes search bar loses focus.

• Sometimes “Paste and Go” didn’t work
• A ghost image left behind after closing the detached tab.
• Some window opens behind its parent window on xp.
• Miscoded bookmarks caused by using IE favorites as Bookmarks
• Putting tab bar to the bottom caused the address bar drop down list to open out of the screen.
• Focus problem when adding url alias
