Arcadia is a simple idea for the Ruby programming language. It is written in Ruby itself and uses the Tcl/tk graphical interface toolkit, allowing it to run on any platform that supports both components. It includes syntax highlighting, code completion, and debugging options, among other things. The possibilities can also be expanded with so-called extensions. The developer has released version 0.8.1 with the following changes:

  • hide splash on gems wizard
  • added keybinding configurazion support
  • added new event : RedoTextEvent, SelectAllTextEvent, InvertSelectionTextEvent, UpperCaseTextEvent, LowerCaseTextEvent
  • added Edit menu items : ‘Redo’,’Select all’,’Invert selection’,’Uppercase’, ‘Lowercase’

  • added dynamic resizing of line numbers frame
