Software update: AM-DeadLink 2.05

AM-DeadLink, the program that makes it easy to organize internet bookmarks, has been updated to version 2.05. Not only can the program quickly see if there are ‘dead’ links, it can also permanently store the favicons that some websites use. The changelog of this release shows what changes the program has undergone:

What’s new in Version 2.05?

  • Improved: FavIcons were not detected under certain circumstances
  • Usage of Internet Explorer Cookies improved
  • Fixed: AM-DeadLink could crash if Opera or Mozilla bookmarks were not encoded correctly in UTF-8 format
  • Fixed: If a bookmark file was not saved correctly in UTF-8 format, then the bookmark list could be truncated
  • Changed: If a bookmark file cannot be decoded from UTF-8 format, then the bookmark name is displayed as-is, but cannot be edited to avoid conflicts
  • Improved UTF-8 detection/handling
