AC3Filter is a DirectShow filter to decode AC3 audio from .AVI and MPEG2 (DVD) files for playback. The developer has released version 0.70b which fixes the following:

Bug fix release. Serious bug in decoder fixed so sound is much better now… Some optimizations: about ~20%-30% faster.
