Without paying much attention to this, Samsung has released a new version of the Galaxy S III smartphone. It concerns the Galaxy S3 Slim that comes out in Brazil and has a 4.5 “screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels.

The smartphone appeared on Samsung’s Brazilian website. The images show that the manufacturer has kept the design more or less the same as the original Galaxy S III. The Slim variant with 4.5 “has a slightly smaller screen. An unspecified quad-core soc is built into the housing that does its job at 1.2 GHz. It may be a soc from Samsung’s own Exynos series.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S3 Slim has 8GB of storage, less than the original Galaxy S III. The camera has also been scaled back to 5 megapixels. There is 1GB of RAM and the battery has a capacity of 2100mAh. Samsung has not yet disclosed how much to pay for the Galaxy S III Slim.

Because Samsung has not disclosed much about the release, it is still unclear whether the budget model will also come to other countries. Given the specifications, it is likely that the price will be below 200 euros.
