Samsung would like to present its first smartwatch with a curved screen within two weeks at the Mobile World Congress telecom fair in Barcelona. Samsung’s first smartwatch Galaxy Gear has a flat AMOLED screen.
Samsung has already made it clear that it will show its Galaxy S5 at the telecom fair that takes place in Barcelona in two weeks. The invitation contains no references to a new smartwatch, but ZDNet has heard from various ‘local sources’ that the South Korean manufacturer is showing its new model there and that it will have a curved screen.
The current Galaxy Gear has a flat AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 1.63″ and a resolution of 320×320 pixels. Details about resolution and dimensions of the screen on the new Gear are unknown. Also what functions the device will have is still unknown. not clear.
In addition to the new smartwatch, Samsung would like to show a new Galaxy Tab line at the fair. The Galaxy Tab 4 tablets have screen diagonals of 7″, 8″ and 10.1″, and would all have a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Other details, such as the processor used, are not yet known. The Galaxy Tab 3 line came last summer, while Samsung recently added the Tab 3 Lite.
