Rumor: Samsung is working on Z Fold 3 smartphone for release next June

Samsung would work on the Z Fold 3 smartphone and want to release it in June next year. That appeared earlier in the year than the Galaxy Fold and Z Fold 2. The Z Fold 3 is said to have a camera behind the screen and a slot for the S-Pen stylus.

Samsung is now doing the last tests before mass production is due to start, Ajunews reports. At the beginning of this year, the site reported information about the smartphone that would become the Z Flip. The information turned out to be incorrect, but the photo the site posted did match what the Z Flip looks like, including the correct wallpaper that Samsung uses in the device’s marketing renders.

The Z Fold 3 would be the first Samsung smartphone to have a camera behind the screen, so that a notch or hole in the screen is no longer necessary. Several manufacturers have already shown the technology and ZTE already released the Axon 20 5G with a front camera behind the screen.

The S-Pen could possibly scratch the plastic top layer and so the top layer of the Z Fold 3 of the second generation becomes ultra-thin glass from Samsung. The first generation of that layer is behind the plastic top layer of the Z Fold2 and Z Flip.

The Z Fold 3 and S21 Ultra would receive support for the S-Pen, after which the Galaxy Note series would disappear. This has been rumored before. Samsung has not responded to the rumors. The Z Fold 2 was released in September, the Galaxy Fold also appeared in September last year in some countries.
