Rumor: OnePlus postpones presentation of foldable phone Open

The release and presentation of the foldable OnePlus Open has been postponed. The device was initially going to be presented at the end of this month, but that will now happen later due to problems with the screen.

The presentation of OnePlus’ first foldable should take place on August 29. That will be later, reports leaker Max Jambor. He often releases rumors about OnePlus. The foldable phone would be called the Open. OnePlus confirmed earlier this year that it was working on such a device.

It is not known when the phone will be presented or when it will be available for sale. According to Jambor, the delay is due to the screens. The Open was initially going to get panels from BOE, but they would not be good, although it is not clear how. OnePlus has now joined forces with Samsung for the displays, which are said to work well.
