A MacBook with a renewed design and 16 “screen will not come this year, but only in two years’ time. That is what analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims based on own sources. The current design of the MacBook Pro is from a few years ago.

The completely redesigned MacBook will be released in early 2021 or late 2020 at the earliest, UDN reports based on Kuo’s latest report. It’s unknown if Kuo’s previous information was wrong or if Apple decided to delay the product. The design of MacBooks has received a lot of criticism lately, especially because of the keyboard. Apple has apologized to users for the recurring keyboard problems. There are no details about the laptop yet except for the expected diagonal of the screen around 16″.

Kuo repeats the arrival of a 31″ screen from Apple and that monitor should come out about this summer, just like in an earlier rumor. LG would make the panel. The rumor speaks of a screen based on ‘mini-LED’ , but what that exactly means is unknown. It would be a monitor with 6k3k resolution. Apple sold its Thunderbolt display since 2011, but stopped doing so in 2016. Since then, Apple has only had an UltraFine display from LG in its range from his stores.
