RTL is busy selling technology platform Bright

RTL is in the process of selling its Bright technology platform. This is what RTL Nieuws says to trade publication Villamedia. The company expects to announce the sale within a few weeks. It is unknown with whom RTL is in discussions.

RTL says according to Villamedia to hold strategic discussions with several publishers about the sale of Bright. The platform includes a site and a YouTube channel with 305,000 subscribers and tens of thousands of views per video. There is also a TikTok channel with 489,000 followers and an average of thousands of views per video.

Bright was originally an independent publication that included a magazine. RTL took over Bright eight years ago. The plan then was to make a weekly TV program. That existed for some time. Bright also produced a TV program about transport last year under the name Bright op Banden.
