Rockstar veterans Lazlow Jones and Mike Unsworth have joined Absurd Ventures, the media and gaming studio that Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser started earlier this year. That studio has not yet announced its first project.

Writer, producer and radio DJ Lazlow Jones is according to his LinkedIn profile co-founder of Absurd Ventures and executive producer at the company. Jones left Rockstar in August 2020, after nineteen years working on the GTA and Red Dead series, among others. Since then he has worked on series with Disney and Netflix, among others. Jones is known for his role as the eponymous character from Grand Theft Auto, as an in-game talk show host and radio DJ.

Michael Unsworth is according to his LinkedIn profile Head of Story & Creative Management at Absurd Ventures and has been with the studio since October. He left Rockstar in August this year, where he worked for 16 years, eventually serving as Vice President of Writing. He also worked on the GTA and Red Dead games, among others.

It was previously unknown that Jones and Unsworth are involved with Absurd Ventures. Houser founded that studio in June this year, saying at the time that it is “a media company focused on new intellectual property across all platforms and formats.” Houser left Rockstar Games in February 2020 after working there for 20 years.
