Rockstar Games shares GTA VI trailer, game will be released in 2025

Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is set in Vice City in the fictional state of Leonida and features a female main character named Lucia. GTA VI will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

Grand Theft Auto VI once again seems to contain an open game world in which missions must be completed, all kinds of vehicles can be driven and locations can be visited. There will also be action and (police) violence involved. The trailer contains some passages showing that social media also play a role in the game. It is not yet clear how big that role will be.

Rockstar Games has a press release published in which the publisher confirms that the story of GTA VI takes place in Vice City, in the fictional state of Leonida. The game will be released in 2025 and will be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

Rockstar Games had already announced earlier this month that it would publish the first trailer for GTA VI on December 5. However, a few hours before the trailer was actually published, it had already been leaked via X. The publisher confirmed this and then published the trailer through its own official channels.
