Retro-Bit has signed an agreement with Sega and says it will come up with new accessories for the Sega Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast, among others. The accessories also get a USB connection for use on the PC and Bluetooth.

According to Retro-Bit, the agreement will see several accessories that have “the same quality” as the original Sega counterparts. The accessories are provided with the original connection, so that they can be used on the old consoles. In addition, they get modern functions such as USB and Bluetooth, for use with a PC and possibly also with mobile devices.

Sega has re-released classic games on Android, iOS and for Windows in recent years. In any case, it looks like Retro-Bit will be making controllers meant to play these games the same way they did with the original consoles.

Retro-Bit does not yet provide concrete information about which products will be released. The company will provide more details and show products at the CES trade show, which kicks off in early January in Las Vegas.

Retro-Bit showed a new version of the Game Boy at CES last year, which can handle the official cartridges. However, that device was not made in collaboration with Nintendo. The company has also previously made a console that can play original cartridges from the NES and Sega Genesis.
