During its presentation at the E3 game show, Nintendo announced that Resident Evil 5 and 6 will make their entrance on the Nintendo Switch in the fall. Earlier this year, three older Resident Evil games were already available on Nintendo’s console.

Ports of both Resident Evil 5 and 6 will be released for Nintendo Switch in the fall of this year, with Resident Evil 5 playable locally for two people. This title comes with all previously released DLC: Desperate Escape and Lost in Nightmares. Versus mode is also available, as are No Mercy mode and the new The Mercenaries United mode. The latter mode is a four-player mini-game combining The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion game modes.

Resident Evil 6 supports co-op for up to four players and also comes with additional modes such as Survivor, where up to six players compete against each other. Resident Evil 6 also comes out on the Nintendo Switch with all the DLC that came out on other platforms before.

The two ports follow after publisher and developer Capcom released three other Resident Evil games on Nintendo Switch in May. These are Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4. These titles originally came out for GameCube in 2002 and 2005. Resident Evil 5 originally came out in 2009 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, followed by Resident Evil 6 in 2012.
