Sega has announced that the remasters of Shenmue I and II will be released on August 21. It is a bundle of the two games that originally appeared for Sega’s Dreamcast. The bundle costs 35 euros.

Sega announces the release date in a trailer with new footage from the remasters. The appearance has not changed much compared to the original Dreamcast games, but the resolution is higher. Shenmue was one of the first open world games and was released in Europe for the Sega Dreamcast in late 2000.

The games revolve around martial artist Ryo Hazuki, who seeks revenge for his father’s murder. Shenmue I is set in the early 1980s in Yokosuka, Japan. The second part is set in 1987 in Hong Kong.

In April, Sega announced the remasters, but the publisher did not mention a release date and price at the time. Apart from the remasters, a new part is also coming; Shenmue III. That game is not made or published by Sega, but by the creator of the series, Yu Suzuki. He has been given the freedom by Sega to make a new part. The new part should be released sometime in 2019.
