Razer is releasing a new version of the Raptor 27. The new game monitor will have a refresh rate of 165Hz and a response time of 1ms. It is also the first monitor with a THX certification, according to Razer.

The new version of the Raptor 27, like the previous model, has a 27″ IPS panel with a qhd resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The design of the monitor has also remained the same. The device has an aluminum base with a matte black finish and a fabric back, with a built-in cable duct.

What is new is the refresh rate. It was still 144Hz on the earlier model, but Razer has increased it to 165Hz. The response time has remained the same at 1ms. The monitor has also been certified to the THX standard. Also new is that the monitor can be hung with a VESA mount of 100x100mm or 75x75mm. This is possible with an adapter that can be purchased separately for a hundred euros.

The monitor has support for both AMD’s FreeSync Premium and Nvidia’s G-Sync. The screen can display up to 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is DisplayHDR 400 certified.

Razer will release the Raptor 27 from the third quarter for a thousand euros. That’s also when the VESA mount goes on sale.
