Razer Announces New Deathstalker Low Profile Keyboards
Razer announces three new keyboards under the Deathstalker name. It’s been ten years since a new model was last added to Razer’s Deathstalker line. The keyboards have a low profile and optical mechanical switches.
Razer’s keyboards get all three titles Deathstalker V2 along. The Deathstalker V2 Pro is the most complete model and can be wirelessly connected to a device via bluetooth or a USB dongle. These different devices can be connected to the keyboard simultaneously via Bluetooth, so that users can quickly switch between devices. The Deathstalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless is almost the same except for the size. The Tenkeyless version lacks the numpad and therefore has a smaller form factor.
Then there’s the Deathstalker V2 without the ‘pro’ addition. This is a wired version of the Deathstalker. All three keyboards are equipped with Razer’s proprietary optical switches. These switches have a lower profile than regular mechanical switches, so the Deathstalker keyboards are less high. There is a choice of both linear and clicky switches.
Furthermore, all three Razer keyboards are equipped with RGB lighting. The wireless versions have a battery that should last 40 hours with the Pro version. With the Tenkeyless version, the battery should last for 50 hours. The keyboards come with ABS plastic keycaps.
The new Deathstalker keyboards are also appearing in the Benelux. The wired Deathstalker V2 costs 200 euros, the Deathstalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless costs 220 euros and for those who can’t do without the numpad, the price comes to 250 euros. Only the Deathstalker Pro is currently available. The other two versions should be released later in the third quarter.
