Xiaomi is likely to come with a new tablet in its Mi Pad line. This is evident from photos and specifications that have been leaked. The images show a Windows 10 tablet and it is unclear whether the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will also be released with Android.

Xiaomi hasn’t announced its Mi Pad 3 yet, but GizmoChina has posted promotional material online that appears to confirm the tablet’s arrival. According to the website, the official release will follow on December 30. The images show a 9.7″ tablet with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. The whole would be about 6.1mm thick and weigh 380 grams. Optionally, the Windows tablet can be expanded with a keyboard cover.

On board is an Intel Core m3-7Y30 processor, which is an economical dual-core with four threads of the Kaby Lake generation, which depending on the TDP configuration runs at 1 to 1.6GHz with a boost speed of up to 2.6GHz. There is 8GB lpddr3 memory and the amount of emmc storage memory is 128GB or 256GB. According to the images, the tablet has an 8290mAh battery and a USB-C connection with support for fast charging. On the back is a 16-megapixel camera and the front camera has an 8-megapixel resolution.

In 2014 Xiaomi released its first Mi Pad and last year Xiaomi released its Mi Pad 2. That model had an Intel Atom processor and was available in versions with Windows 10 and Android. It is not clear whether there will be an Android version of the new model; the promotional material seems to only talk about a Windows tablet.

The images show a price of 1999 Chinese Yuan for the 128GB storage version and 2299 Yuan for the 256GB variant. Converted that is about 275 and 315 euros, excluding VAT and import duties.
