Jade Raymond is leaving Ubisoft. The producer was instrumental in the first two Assassin’s Creed games, Watch Dogs and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and later became the director of the Ubisoft studio in Toronto. Alexandre Parizeau takes over.

After ten years, Ubisoft and Raymond part ways, the French developer has announced. The split would have happened in consultation. It is unclear what Raymond’s future plans are. Ubisoft only reports that they will pursue future opportunities separately. Raymond just says she’s going to pursue other ambitions.

Raymond had a large part in the first Assassin’s Creed game, on which she worked as a producer from 2004 to 2007. From 2008 she worked as an executive producer on the successor to the action game for a year. Raymond subsequently distanced himself from Assassin’s Creed and, again as executive producer, went on to work on Watch Dogs and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

At the same time, from 2009 she was director of the Ubisoft studio in Toronto, which she opened herself at the time. Parizeau will succeed Raymond as manager of the Ubisoft studio from October 29. He also has years of experience in the game industry and has worked on several Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell games, among others. He has also been involved with the studio in Toronto from the start.
