Pokémon games can also be played on Facebook for the first time

The Pokémon Company has made two Pokémon games available on Facebook. It concerns the titles Pokémon Tower Battle and Pokémon Medallion Battle. It is the first time that games from the popular franchise can be played via the social network.

The game Pokémon Tower Battle is developed by Bombay Play, and is released worldwide through Facebook Games. In the game, players must stack Pokémon on top of each other to build the tallest tower. Players can compete against a friend in real time or participate in a global competition.

Pokémon Medallion Battle is a rather classic card battle game, in which trainers collect, battle and evolve Pokémon. That way they win badges and can refill their Pokédex. According to developer GCTurbo, new Pokémon are introduced to the game every month. Pokémon Medallion Battle is currently only available in Asia.

Both games are free to play on Facebook, both through the browser and the mobile app. Pokémon Tower Battle, the title available in the Benelux, can be started from the Facebook Games tab.
