PlatinumGames has already raised more than a million euros through a Kickstarter campaign to make The Wonderful 101: Remastered. It is a remaster of the game that appeared in 2013 for the Wii U. The new version is coming to PC, PS4 and Switch.

The Japanese studio stated that it would need at least around 45,000 euros for the project. Within a day of putting the campaign online, more than a million euros has already been raised. PlatinumGames will make and publish The Wonderful 101: Remastered itself.

Publishers would not have been interested in the game, prompting the studio to launch a Kickstarter campaign. Those interested in contributing should receive the game by April this year. That would indicate that the game is already largely developed.

The Wonderful 101 came out in 2013 for the Nintendo Wii U. It is an action-adventure game where players control a complete horde of superheroes. The characters can be turned into various objects, so-called Unite Morphs.

PlatinumGames is also known for games like Bayonetta and Vanquish. Remasters of those games will be released in February for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, after PC versions have already been released. Those games also originally came out on the Nintendo Wii U.
