Android Central, based on its own sources, claims that the upcoming Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G soc. Furthermore, the 4a 5G will have a 6.2 “display and the 5 a 6” display. The Pixel 5 also gets a 90Hz OLED display.

What kind of display the Pixel 4a 5G gets is not known to Android Central. Furthermore, the site writes that the Pixel 5 has a dual rear camera, one of which has an ultra-wide angle lens. The Pixel 5 would also get a much larger battery capacity than the 4a 5G and it will get support for wireless charging with the Qi standard at 15 watts, with 5 watts reverse charging. Finally, Android Central says that the Pixel 5 will get at least 8GB of ram with 128GB of storage, but other variants are also to be expected.

On Friday, an image of the Pixel 5 also appeared online, from the well-known leaker OnLeaks. It also shows the dual camera, as well as the fingerprint sensor on the back and the punch-hole camera on the front.

It is the first time that a new generation Pixel phone does not have a Qualcomm soc from the Snapdragon 800 series. To date, Pixels with only a number in the name always had an 800 series soc. The 3a had a 600 series soc and the 4a was from the 700 series. Google seems to be shifting its Pixels from the top of the smartphone market towards the middle.

Google itself previously hinted that it will release a Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 this year, but the company did not mention specifications, features, release date or price. However, the latter does not apply to the 4a 5G, which will cost $ 499 in the US.
