Bandai Namco has released the game Pac-Man Maker into Apple’s Canadian App Store. In the iOS game, users can create their own levels from the legendary game or play levels that other users have designed. Players have to pay to create their own levels.

The game is a free download and it is possible to play levels from others without paying, but designing levels yourself is only possible after a one-time payment of $2.79, according to Pac-Man Maker’s page in the App. store.

The game came out in early October but went undetected until Reddit user Krazynewb made a post about it. It is more common for apps and games to be released first in a single country, in order to limit the number of players and detect any bugs that come to light before the software is widely available.

Bandai Namco already established the name Pac-Man Maker half a year ago, with rumors that such a game was coming. It is unknown when the game will be available in the Benelux.
