Relevant Holdings, the owner of The Phone House, Optie1 and Typhone, is taking over the stores and web stores of Dixons, MyCom and iCentre. The parent company of the three chains, the BAS Group, went bankrupt last week.

All 24 iCentre branches will remain open, but many Dixons and MyCom branches will close. Of the 41 MyCom stores, 19 will close and 22 will remain open. At Dixons, 55 branches will close, while 33 will remain open. The online stores remain open. About half of the staff of the stores would have to leave.

As a result of the sale, the three chains make a new start. Before the weekend, there were rumors that Relevant Holdings would be the buyer of the stores. Last week, a judge declared bankruptcy of the parent company of the retail chains. Relevant Holdings bought telecom retailer The Phone House earlier this year.
