Opera has released version 60 of its browser. The new version includes a modified visual style and a built-in crypto wallet based on Ethereum Web3. The browser also has native support for Web3 dApps, or decentralized apps.

Opera 60 is also nicknamed Reborn 3. With the support for a cryptowallet, Web3 and a built-in VPN and adblocker, Opera is committed to the future developments of the web and the preservation of the user’s privacy. According to the maker, it is the first major browser with Web3 support.

The Opera app for Android is required to use the wallet. This had a wallet for a while, but in this usage scenario serves as a point for two-step authentication for a transaction with the desktop wallet. This can be done, for example, with a fingerprint.

The new browser design is more minimalist than before. Borders between the different interface elements have been removed. Certain buttons, such as the screenshot function, have also been moved to the access bar to create a calmer overall picture.

The vpn that Opera provides is free. However, the information page about the VPN suggests that it is a proxy. This is because there is no talk about setting up an encrypted tunnel for network traffic, but only about hiding the IP address of the user.
