Carl Pei, the CEO of OnePlus, has shown the design of the OnePlus Nord in a video with YouTuber MKBHD. He also seems to be wearing the new wireless earbuds from OnePlus. Both products will be fully revealed next week.

In a video interview, Pei shows the front and back of the OnePlus Nord. The device has a glossy back with curved edges. The cameras are located one below the other on the side of the device. Two selfie cameras can be seen on the front; OnePlus previously confirmed that one of them has an ultra-wide-angle lens with an angle of view of 105 degrees.

Pei also shows mock-ups of previous designs, which ultimately did not make it. In addition, the cameras are placed in a kind of L-shape at the back. During the interview, Pei wears wireless ears. These are probably the bluetooth ears that OnePlus will present together with the smartphone on July 21.

YouTuber MKBHD talks to Pei in the video about the cost of parts for phones. The OnePlus CEO does not give many concrete answers. He does say that adding NFC to a smartphone costs about $ 4, but about the cost of a screen, he only says that an OLED screen is twice as expensive as an LCD and that a screen with curved edges is even more expensive.

New details on the specifications of the OnePlus Nord have not been released. According to rumors, the device will get a Snapdragon 765G-soc with 5G modem, a 6.55 “OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, 6GB ram and 128GB flash storage. The battery would have a capacity of 4300mAh. OnePlus has indicated that the device” will cost less than five hundred dollars.
