YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed gets review samples from Nvidia again. On Friday, it was announced that the channel would no longer get it due to a lack of focus on ray tracing, but Nvidia now apologizes and reverses everything, the channel said.

Which tweeted Hardware Unboxed on Saturday night. They don’t share or quote the email themselves, so all that is known is what HWU shares about it. The channel would like to express a gratitude to fellow tech YouTuber Linus Sebastian of Linus Tech Tips, who expressed his strong disapproval of this on a recent episode of his WAN Show and read the email.

According to Hardware Unboxed, Nvidia had a problem that the lion’s share of the benchmarks the channel did on an RTX 3060 Ti review were on rasterization and hardly on ray tracing. That ratio was eighteen to one. Nvidia said it could consider sending review samples again if the channel “ changed its editorial direction. ” HWU said it did not intend to do so, but it would not be extra critical of Nvidia hardware following this move. Hardware Unboxed states that there will be a video in which they further explain the case. They expect it to be put online sometime in the coming days.
