Nvidia’s cloud gaming platform, GeForce NOW, will gain support for variable refresh rates via G-SYNC. Nvidia will also offer day passes, which will give users 24-hour access to the GeForce NOW Priority or Ultimate plans.

The day tickets for GeForce NOW will be available in February, writes Nvidia. The GPU maker comes with a Priority Day Pass and an Ultimate Day Pass. With the former, users get access to a cloud PC with a GPU equivalent to an RTX 3060 or RTX 2080, Nvidia writes. Such a Day Pass costs 4 dollars. With the Ultimate Day Pass, users get access to a gaming PC with an RTX 4080 GPU for 24 hours. That costs 8 dollars per day. Nvidia does not mention euro prices.

GeForce NOW will also receive support for G-SYNC. This will soon allow the cloud gaming service to handle screens with a variable refresh rate. The streaming service will also receive more extensive support for Nvidia Reflex, at a maximum of 4k resolution at 60 or 120fps. Both upgrades will be implemented ‘soon’ in the cloud gaming service. It is not yet known when exactly.

Nvidia also comes with a 1440p mode for GeForce Now on Android. This allows users with an Android phone to use the service at a higher resolution than before. With a docking station, Android users can connect their phone to a QHD screen. This way they can also use a keyboard and mouse on GeForce NOW.
