The Nothing Phone (1), which should be released this summer, will have a transparent housing just like the Ear (1) earphones. The designer of the device says he wants to highlight certain components, including the coil for wireless charging.

“We want to highlight the interesting components,” says Nothing designer Tom Howard in a interview with Wallpaper. The interior of the telephone is adapted accordingly. He mentions the cameras and the coil for wireless charging as examples.

The device will have an aluminum frame and a transparent back, according to the interview. The design corresponds to the ear (1) earphones, the first product from Nothing. The article also shows a sketch of the Phone (1), but it is not clear which components can be seen on it. Two circles in the middle can indicate two cameras on the back of the device. It is also not clear whether this is the final design.

Nothing wants to release its first Android smartphone in the summer. It will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon soc, but no technical details are known yet. Nothing already showed screenshots of the launcher that the device gets. That Android skin will be named Nothing OS.
